re: What is your biggest pet peeve when flying?

My #1 (which I think is actually the fault of the airline) is the families with kids where each person has a rolling carry-on, a duffel bag or backpack, and a full sized pillow/stuffed animal. The concept of carry-on luggage was for people who weren't taking long trips and didn't need a huge suitcase. It is perfect for couples, solo travelers, and business travelers. It becomes a massive fail when a nearby business traveler has to courtesy check their carry-on because the family of 5 used up all of the bin space around him.

This is the airlines' fault for charging for checked luggage. It is the strangest thing to me. They practically beg you to check your bags throughout the entire process, but they're not incentivizing it when they charge people for it. That family has nowhere to be when the plane lands. Quit encouraging them to stuff the cabin of the plane with as much shite as possible.
