Very easy to make
I just got an Anova so I used that for the incubation period
You can also use a yogurt maker or do it on the stove or in the oven. The sous vide machine made sense for me since it keeps a precise temperature for a very long time.
I'll go through the steps I used
1. Mix a small amount of the cream with the crushed tablets and inulin to make a slurry.
2. Whisk in the rest of the cream
3. Heat to 180 F. I did this in the microwave. Takes a little over 6 minutes. Check with an instant read thermometer
4. Wait for it to cool to somewhere around 110-115
5. Pour into jars and seal and set the machine to 110 for 30 hours
6. Refrigerate
I started making a second batch yesterday. Once the first batch is made you can make the subsequent batches with existing yogurt. I did add a tabespoon of inulin again though. Apparently this helps feed the bacteria cultures and is also good for thickness.
I'll advise on how the second batch comes out. Goes in the fridge tonight and I'll have it ready tomorrow.
