Did you read the article? The event occurred at a Burger King not a Taco Bell.

Burger King didn’t hold him in jail so why should they be liable for the jail/ police department mess up.

I caused the confusion with the Taco Bell reference. One of the first viral Internet stories was a guy who tried to use a $2 at Taco Bell and got accused of it being fake because the cashier and shift manager both said there's no such thing as a $2 bill.

Burger King is stupid, but it's pathetic that popo couldn't tell the bill was real until 3 months later. It shouldn't even have taken 3 hours.

Burger King made the fake bill claim, not the police he was enforcing the law once he was called.

Again, the dumb duck obviously didnt know and a stop at the nearest bank would have cleared this up.

The guy will sue BK and the police...and rightfully so
