The formula for success at LSU is to hire a P5 coach that is a proven winner at a mid tier program. That's where LSU should start its next search.
And the problem is that our fan base truly believes in this formula. Based on this formula LSU will never find the next:
Bob Stoops
Kirby Smart
Dabo Swinney
Jimbo Fisher
Mark Richt
Lincoln Riley
Gary Patterson
David Shaw
Instead we forget that our “can’t fail” formula gave us Curly and Dinardo before striking gold with Saban and Miles.

Curly and Dinardo were not all to blame for their failure. LSU was eat up with “good ole boy” politics and was toxic from the inside out. Saban came in and changed all of that basically saying “if you want to win, you will stay the frick out of my way and let me do what I do”. It worked great. Miles held it up for as long as he could but unfortunately that “good ole boy” toxic from the inside mentality is back.
