To only have one bag to lug around while in Europe. I travel with a group, so I will have to wait for baggage regardless if I have checked luggage or not. Also, I am flying United this year (not happy about it), and supposedly they can be strict on their 22x14x9 requirement for carry on. I have a bag that is 20x13x7.5 and one that is 22x14x11. I don't really want to buy another carry-on to fit this..
Also if I check it, I can bring my razor and liquids..
