Not sure about Burrow's competition but Brennan did play awful competition mostly

Burrow's competition in Div. III during the regular season would be spotty. In the semifinals, he played Columbus DeSales, a very good Catholic School. (Luke Fickell played there) In the finals, he played Toledo Central Catholic another very good school(where Deshone Kizer and Dane Sanzenbacker played). Lost 56-52. Threw 6 TDs and for 456 yards.

Will agree with others that HS stats don't mean that much. However, someone posed the question.

Anyone from the MS coast can vouch for this. I’m 7 years removed from high school, and when i was playing St. Stanislaus, they were a 3A school. Their competition in the 3A ranks were not very challenging, really undersized teams.
