Her comic is actually pretty good, at least the first few editions that I read.
She has the ability to alter her body structure and appearance. She goes by Ms. Marvel because the first time she transformed, her body turned into Ms. Marvel.
The question is whether she will "rebel somewhat against the strict nature of Islam" in the show like she does in the comics.
That would make for an interesting plot line.

I hope so. Her struggle with this and her relationship with her family all make her a very likable character.

She's really the only Inhuman left that can save them from going completely under after the comics and show failed.
Just don't let Wilson show up to press pushers all intense looking. Give her a buddy system like Holland and Ruffalo.

Makes sense since real life Muslim hero’s transform their body when their suicide vest detonated.

The first few issues were good, then it became full on SJW just like the rest of Marvel. Kamala would have trouble juggling two boyfriends, so she'd go talk to the hip Imam down at her local Mosque. She would also discuss her gay friends with him, and his answers were never what an actual Imam would say. Of course, her enemies were 99% of the time white bigoted bullies, and she and her trans friends would defeat them with full on Grrl power.
