This figures into your equation? Good Lord, your equation sucks, unless you were planning to live on Bourbon St. I lived 30 years in New Orleans and enjoyed my forays into the Quarter. You go, walk and drink then leave. Trash matters little. Memphis has four seasons, but is a shithole much in the way of NOLA with fewer redeeming qualities. Between the two, food, fishing, and NFL/NBA tip the balance to NOLA.

No hurricanes in Memphis but it's in Tornado Alley and F5 tornadoes are not out of the question. Plus the New Madrid fault line will destroy you.

I lived in Memphis for 10 years and don’t recall one single bad tornado.

In fact the closest thing to a bad tornado was this freak wind storm they called Hurricane Elvis for a while that wrecked some shite. But even that was nowhere near as bad as a mild hurricane like we see here.

Memphis has an NBA team that's had a lot more success that New Orleans in the last decade, if you would even decide to live there for a reason like that.

I don't think you know what tornado alley is. You conveniently left out that NOLA could be wiped out by heavy rain, much less a hurricane, which is way more likely than an F5 tornado.
