I have question for you if so

No, but I know that Dear Ole Auburn High won it all today

No, but I referee it.
So I guess it depends on what your question is.

I have huge problem with the incredible inconsistency with refs in bama soccer and the whole system is screwed up. A school should not be fined just because a player gets a red card. (As a result no ever gets one) they have failed to interstate the concussion protocol as instructed by that’s for a different day.
My question is this, his the hell is ut considered fair that the championship game is in Huntsville each and every year when we have better fields all over the state. I like Huntsville it is beautiful town, people are great, I love the teams as they play with technical skill and precision but no way in hell is it fair to teams from Sourh Alabama. I did a little study and found that Huntsville is worth 1 to 1.5 goal advantage to teams from Birmingham Huntsville area. ( teams played before neutral turf etc and when theh meet in championship that was difference.
Only one team from South Alabama even won a damn game, almost all of them losing by one goal. (Including Auburn game.) All of them were significantly out shot by South Bama teams but our teams never get used to Mountain air, those big fields, recover from long drive, don’t really know for sure but almost never play that well. Overall, the teams from North Bama are better to begin with so they really don’t need any advantage. The local team Randolph is like 10-1 in Huntsville but isn’t nearly as dominant away from there.
They give out this contract in four or five year intervals, and we heard no one else bid on it but they rotate everything else and that may be bullshite. We have brand new state of art competition soccer fields at OWA, and Mobile is supposed to be building some now but they will duck it up. It just seems like bullshite to me but AHSAA doesn’t give a shite about soccer

First time I've ever heard anyone complain about mountain air in Huntsville.

Well, yeah.

That's going to happen when you have different organizations throughout he state and at least up until this year the AHSAA referee test cared more about what the players wear instead of what offside is.

No matter how hard I try, the idea of the kid getting a $300 fine for making a tackle just a fraction late will always come to the forefront of my mind. I don't know a single ref that likes that rule. We wish that they would make it more sport specific. Sure, fine a kid if he gets a red for throwing a punch, but not for something much less severe like a DOGSO or a second yellow for PI, wasting time, etc.

Played there this year, pretty darn cool.

So, your question is more of a tirade.
Cool.
I've had a kid get a red card for dissent this year.
He deserved it, and his parents may have made him work off the fine for them, but I don't know.
The Huntsville teams are legit, as I directed a tourney in GD/OB in March and they dominated. Guess their mountain lungs gave them an advantage on the salty-aired beach fields.
We change our contracts between Baldwin County and Mobile refs. Baldwin seems too old..Mobile seems too young. I knew each and every ref this year and got along with them, as they were individually consistent.
I'm not sure why you are bitching about high school soccer though. You know yourself the AHSAA doesn't care.

You're more than welcome to join your nearest association next season and show us how to do it.
Hell, we have to use a ton of college kids with little to no refereeing experience just to have all of our games covered.

Have you considered that southern teams usually play northern teams in tournaments at the beginning of the season, and during the course of the season northern teams improve more by playing tougher competition? By end of the season, the northern team may have improved 1-1.5 goals more than the southern teams.

And if they were out shot by the southern teams, maybe the southern teams need to get better at finishing.

What do you consider "South Alabama"? 2 teams from Montgomery and 1 from Auburn won state. That's 3 out of 8.
Some of the teams from very South Alabama barely had a winning record (McGill-Toolen boys were 13-9-5, Enterprise girls were 9-9-2, Northview boys were 11-10-1). Did you expect any of those teams to win a game? Do you think any of those teams would have even made the final 4 if they had to play a northern team in an earlier round?
quote:Randolph boys were 16-2-2 (according to their website). Both ties were at home, one loss was at home and one was on the road (but was still in Huntsville)
The local team Randolph is like 10-1 in Huntsville but isn’t nearly as dominant away from there.

I ref games in the Montgomery area. I saw Briarwood boys (a Birmingham school) run through LAMP and Trinity (both are Montgomery schools) in Montgomery in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. I think they won both games by 3 or 4. Briarwood ended up losing in the final 4. For the most part, southern teams just aren't on the same level as teams from Birmingham, and to a lesser extent Huntsville.

Tennessee was the same way the last time I took my recertification test about 5 years ago. I don't know if it's changed.
