Do we really pretty much snag a Top Eight seed with a win today, as these announcers are saying?

Last years team won less than this years team. This team doesn't have any really bad losses as well.
Last year we had a really bad loss to Penn State at home
Plus SEC record is better this year too
RPI is on the bubble at 9, committee really takes into account how teams look and finish the year
