re: Does the younger generation (<40) still put cayenne on their spaghetti?

I'm in my late 20's and have never made spaghetti without cayenne (or red pepper flakes), so there's that I guess. Not a fan of an overly sweet sauce. I much prefer savory and with mild heat. The way I figure the sugar content of the sauce should come primarily from the tomatoes and onions.
