River is too high to start construction...
USACoE requires the Carrolton Gauge to be below 11' for digging near the levee in BR.
Still too High

in common construction discussions, we use the terms "drilled" and "driven" all the time. "Drilled" is used interchangeably with "auger-cast". "Driven" is used interchangeably with "timber pile" or "pre-cast pile"...everyone knows what you mean when you're talking with engineers and on the job site. And no one gets in a pissin contest over what we're gonna call the deep arse hole with rebar and concrete in it.

Piles and shafts are very different in how they are constructed. A deep arse hole that you fill with rebar and concrete is a drilled shaft and not a pile. If you mix those up it could be a huge frick up.
This ain't close to being pissy, this is trying to make heads or tails of what dude was talking about.

quote:you idiot. There is a pile called DRILLED Shaft. I wonder why.
Then, you would know there isn't a "drilled pile."
