Your reading comprehension is lacking. Asserting that Iran influence in the region and its financing of terror groups increased exponentially after 2002 is not the same thing as saying they were non-existant prior to 2002.

Well, that’s a good thing because Iran was the leading exporter of terrorism long before Saddam was taken out in Iraq. Iranian hegemony in the ME was being discussed as far back as GW1, so whether Iran increased exponentially it’s influence and financing after Saddam was removed is a moot point, because it’s influence and financing of terror was already tremendous.
