If Ron paul would have ran as a Republican and won the primary

Could he have actually been president. One of the only people I have ever looked back on in history, and thought that guy should have been president as I think he would have fixed things then.
We may have not needed trump to come in had he won. Still 100% MAGA though, and love the current ride we are experiencing. Just at heart my political leanings are closer to the Paul's libertarian conservative values.

He did run as a republican

Ron Paul would have been assassinated if he came anywhere close to the Republican nomination, much less the White House. He was more despised by the Washington establishment because of his deviation from the most ingrained American orthodoxy: foreign policy interventionism.

RP is a puss and would not have survived the onslaught that Trump is going through.

No. I truly believe the only Republican that could win was Trump. Who else would have done that well in the rust belt
Hint: none

1. Only one that was tough enough to get union votes and pick up some blue states was Trump. No other republicans would have beat Hillary
2. Voting libertarian will allow a very dangerous democrat to rule these days so vote republican because libertarians can get enough support to win
3. Paul ran as republican

3. Paul ran as republican

I thought he ran as an independent, or libertarian? I was quite young/not born during those years btw. Only 28. Either way, the second part is "won the primary" which would exclude my ignorance/miss remembering.

Are you kidding? Ron Paul stood firm in the 2008 and 2012 debates when the morons in the crowd booed him for talking about blowback as it relates to foreign policy interventionism. I watched him tell a group redneck South Carolinians during a 2012 debate that using heroin was an exercise of liberty. I haven't seen someone with more steadfast principles in my lifetime. He wouldn't give two shites about the media onslaught.

The Libertarian party was created by dummocrats to split the republican voter base.

Woohoo, debates.... He's a mathematical grandstand politician.
He's a pushover that needs attention to try to stand out but do nothing.
He's fake. He could never go through what Trump is going through now. He's a politician.

I agree. Not only his foreign policy stance but he would have tried to take down the Fed Reserve.

He literally ran as a Republican in 2012...

Ron Paul was the perfect anti-establishment candidate. Unfortunately, you have to have a strong personality and the free media coverage that Trump had to win as an anti-establishment candidate. Ron Paul didn’t get either of those

I think OP is referring to Paul's run as the Libertarian Party candidate in 1988. The highlight of Dr. Paul's campaign that year was him getting into a shouting match with Morton Downey Jr. and his audience over drug legalization.

Even more so than that was his resistance to the Federal Reserve and the entire cartel finance system. He was the most dangerous candidate to the establishment and that is why he was not allowed to gain traction in the primaries.

Ron Paul is a raving lunatic.

Sure he could have been president. A lot of domestic policy would have been much improved over what we had. Of course, Osama Bin Laden would have killed 30,000 Americans in a dozen different terrorist attacks, and probably would be Ayatollah of Afghanistan now, his most prized possession being the file cabinet filled with letters of marque from President Paul.
Saddam Hussein would probably be dictator of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with his own cabinet full of letters of marque, and gas would cost 12.00 a gallon.
All of the murderous thugs associated with the war on terror, who we sent to meet their 72 virgins, would still be beheading people for religious transgressions, whipping women in the street, and torturing people to death.
Assad in Syria would have simply gassed to death any of the men, women, and children who failed to sufficiently support his dictatorship.
Crimea and Georgia certainly wouldn’t have been much of a step for Putin. Chances are, Russian aggression toward other border countries would have been greater. What’s to stop them? More letters of marque?

He didn't "gain traction" because nearly everyone voted for other candidates.
P.s. It wasn't a tractor pull.
He wasn't a rich man or a general. He said we didn't need the civil rights act. Market forces would have ended jim.crow. Fool.
That made it a certainty he could not win. Its nearly at a level of denying the holocaust.

Ron Paul is one of the few sane men in American politics and this video illustrates it perfectly.

Look everyone, another useful idiot that believes in the war on terror.

You obviously don't understand economics either. Saddam Hussein didn't have the capability to successfully invade and occupy Saudi Arabia, try again.

What are you saying, that Russia would get away with annexing further territory if we had a non-interventionist president? How have we intervened with Russia to stop them from annexing Georgia?
