I hang the feeder on a tall tree branch with wire. Too high above ground to jump up and they can't ride down the wire.
used fishing line and they cut the line. I then used TC wire and they jumped on the feeder from another branch so had to move the feeder and they have been thwarted for now.

It may work for you, I've seen them shimmy down wire.
