They should offer him what Kyle Lowry got from the Raptors.

3 years 100 mil, 93 guaranteed. Incentives based upon minutes/games played (65 games and 25 mpg to trigger). Give him a player option after year 2 if he wants it.

I think that's fair for all involved. If he plays well, he can get more money after year 2. If he doesn't, the Pels are only on the hook for 3 seasons.

Who am I kidding, Dell is going to offer him a 5 year max

ETA: Also, very similar to the deal that Paul Milsap got with Denver.

And you know what? Offering Boogie a deal immediately is really the best/safest decision to make, I'd prefer it not to be a 5-year deal, but this is Dell we are talking about. All eyes will be on how the Pels organization handles the Boogie situation. We don't want to upset AD & Rondo, and we don't want Boogie to feel like we don't care about him and his rehab. I mean this guy was killing it for us this season and we at least owe him the chance to prove himself.

I still think dumping Solo/Ajinca for Carroll is the best play here. I know we all have our eyes set on bigger fish, but Carroll I think would fit really well into the offense and into our team chemistry. And also remember his contract will be up the same time as Niko's, giving us money to play with.

But at the same time, that trade for Carroll leaves you without a SF again in 2 years with having to decide who you'd rather spend your money on (the answer is Niko). Whereas grabbing PG13, and giving up Niko on the front end could solidify the starting 5 for years to come
