As good as he is Trout has to go up even another level to be in the conversation with Mantle and Mays as the GOAT CF

It's also not a forgone conclusion he will be able to sustain his play for another 10+ years or not have injuries come into play.

I don't know why people are saying this. Mike Trout hasn't even peaked yet and his career averages are already on par with, or better than Mantle.
