I really doubt you'll find a hotel with a kitchen for $250/night, so your best bet will be AirBnB. Since you're ok being a little outside the city, I would recommend looking in Quincy to start. Easy access to the red line which will bring you right into the city.

Heading to Boston with my gf on Friday morning. Staying 4 nights in Back Bay. I am about to scour this thread for some good recommendations. Can't wait!
