Rondo already has both a ring and tons of money - he seems to have good chemistry with this team and would want to stick around.

I agree about not really trying to add anything but a healthy Boogie.

After the first few weeks of interviews it was pretty obvious his reputation as a world class a-hole was both well earned and misunderstood. He really is a basketball genius, and I don't mean really smart, I mean legit genius and basketball savant. His assholishness comes from lack of patience for fools and people that don't agree with him, because only fools don't agree with someone as smart as Rondo.

I don't think he's looking to maximize the dollars his genius can make him, I think he's looking to maximize his genius itself. Where is he going to get better tools to do that than AD/DC/Jrue/Niko plus a coaching staff that is cool letting him do what he does?

I don't know what's happening in his personal life, maybe an extra $10-$20 million over 2-3 years would be something that matters to him, but he's already made almost $90 million in his career, I'm guessing he doesn't have much of an entourage because if he doesn't suffer fools I doubt he suffers leeches. I just can't see how money has more value to him than proving the rest of the small ball league wrong by doing it bigger. I think that's the reason he came here in the first place and it's the reason he'll stay.

Yeah I'm in this camp, at this point I don't think he is payday chasing. He gets to assist hunt with two of the best big men in the game, and some pretty decent shooters. He gets along great with our other stars, and he gets to be the undisputed leader of the team. For someone his age, it seems his role on the Pels is better than a huge payday on a crappy team.
