Fed up with these store bought regulators that are so safe that they are not functional.

Cut out the regulator and replace with a needle valve

What regulators have you tried? I have a high pressure that will blow the flame out on my burners if I crank it wide open.

If I wanted to replace line and use quick connect, certain PSI or rating I need to get?

High pressure 30psi regulator similar to THIS without the hose - I think I paid $25/$30 for the valve at a local gas store

Yep been using that style for years except I think mine is a 60psi
Should be able to pick one up from any hardware store that handles cooking supply.

I have the same one in a 60. It has plenty of pressure for my double jet burner.

I don't use a regulator any more. I have a valve on the tank, a valve inlet the hose, and a valve inlet the burner. Cracking the tank valve and the hose inlet valve allows the burner valve to fine tune the flame with no problems whether I'm frying a small cast iron or boiling a 120 qt pot.

Quick connect will reduce flow to burner unless you have high pressure gas (like a propane bottle) Go to a good hardware store or gas supply company and buy a good burner and regulator. Struggles will be over. That Chinese stuff is not going to last you very long
