Shifts in college are not going to work as much as MLB because a shift is also dependent on the pitcher being pretty precise in order to get them to hit it to a certain spot.

I’m still shocked that they pitched to Cab. First base was open, righty on lefty match up, winning run was on second anyway. Load them up and pitch for a double play. I know Slaughter was semi hot, but I’d take my chances with him rather than DC. JMO

Pitchers in MLB don't pitch into the shifts.

The hitters that get shifted have shown they want to pull the ball regardless of location, with their oppo hits being accidental.

These teams are hoping they go the other way, because it damages their production. These hitters then abandon what got them there in the first place.

Ted Williams had this figured out a long time ago.
