I’m not spinning anything, I’m saying what happened. Northern Syria is still Syria, it’s not called SDF. Syria military should have the right to attack ISIS wherever they want.
The SAA couldn't defend northern Syria in 2014 and can't do it now in 2018. The YPG and SDF have given thousands of lives to retake those lands from ISIS. They deserve to decide Syria's future just as much as Assad does.

So we have a source saying no strike and a source saying that a strike is imminent.

No it wasn't. The US was striking Palmyra and the Palmyra airport.
Russia came in after the SAA already took it. The amount of ordnance they dropped on ISIS around Palmyra was minuscule.
Palmyra was captured by ISIS, retaken by SAA, recaptured by ISIS and then retaken again by SAA. The most air strikes I could find in Palmyra area by US was 43 overall, and much of that the countryside. Russia was averaging 60-70 a day. ISIS did a surprise attack on SAA and retook it but most of their forces had left for Deir Ezzor and was just a small force left when US and Russia started hitting Palmyra again and SAA retook it.

And guess what? SAA and Russia has done the same the entire conflict. It's a war. shite happens.
SAA is defending their home land, we aren’t.

I'm gonna need some sources for this. I know the US took out all of the SAA's captured armor at Palmyra.
ETA: 60-70 a day from Russia sounds completely infeasible considering their air assets in the region. That's completely unsustainable with even a large air force.

Is SDF not defending their homeland from ISIS?

I’m not completely disagreeing but SDF couldn’t do anything w/o our support. Syria was in no better shape and needed Russia to help. These Islamic rebels literally had better equipment than the SAA. Russia didn’t get serious until Damascus was in trouble and came into actually fight these rebel groups. If SDF deserves it then let SDF and SAA sort it out, we can get the hell out.

There, we agree on something. My problem is that the SDF and YPG/J will likely get screwed by Assad.

How about you supply sources for all your claims. You state so many things contrary to what I have followed the past 5 years I do not even know how to have this conversation with you. This is probably why we have such differing views of this entire war.

On what then? There's a ton of OIH data you can look up that says the frequency of strikes from the USAF.
What am I saying that is so contrary to what you've been following?

I guess we couldn't wait for investigators to arrive at the scene tomorrow? Makes no sense.

I’ve watched this through in Syria and Iraq quite a bit. I just remember the info and being surprised US was striking there but Palmyra is a major historical town and was important to protect, though most of it got demolished by ISIS. I clicked on a Washington post article that quoted 43 air strikes b/c I didn’t remember us being THAT involved with Palmyra so that proved my point. 43 air strikes is nothing considering much of it was countryside.

SDF is Kurdish dominated, they have spread to a frick ton of non Kurdish areas and are literally treating the people no different than ISIS did.

Guy on Fox just reminded Tucker that Russia is only about 500 miles from Syria. I'd forgotten how close they are. But I don't know if they have any assets that close. He brought this up within context of mentioning Russia's claim that they may retaliate if there's a US strike.
