FWIW, the data that shows medical costs being a huge cause of bankruptcies have been debunked.

Surprising that an "intellectual" like yourself isn't up to date on the most modern iterations of the research.

Previous estimates (done by elizabeth warren while at harvard, lol) pegged that 50% of all bankruptcies in America are caused by medical debt. The correct anyswer, using more statistically robust methods, is 4%. Bankruptcy trends since the Obamacare exchanges become available do not point to any causal decrease in bankruptcies.

How are medical outcomes worse here? Please don’t say life expectancy because that’s been debunked a million times. We have higher survival rates from cancer and heart disease than every other country.

As for the bankruptcies we could definitely use some reform one thing would be to add some market based competition higher prices are at least affected by massive government interference.
