The issue was we stiff armed Goodrich while trying to get a commit from James Foster who essentially was the best of a list of unimpressive remaining available QBs. Once it was evident Foster wasn't signing here and the late hour bombshell by Surtain we were screwed. There's no getting around the fact that O and staff gambled and lost in this scenario.

I really like Joseph who was a CB who switched to S his final season. The kid is a baller and should get on the field at least in a ST roll this year. I've heard good things about Netherly and his switch (had an INT in the last scrimmage), but knowing he's never played CB is certainly a concern. Alexander is needed depth so I welcome his arrival.

I really like the make up of this D outside of CB depth. I would not be surprised at all if this is one of our best defenses since the 2011 team.
