I'm a fairly consistent ball striker, but I'm awful at putting. The times I have gotten below 80 are rounds that for whatever reason they were falling that day. You can pick up strokes in a hurry if you are putting half as many times.

Hank Haney had a good tip that I use and it works:
No 2 chips
No 2 bunker shots
No 3 putts
Sounds easier than it is, but you’re more likely to get it closer to the hole putting. Also like others have said, keeping the ball out of hazards/OB off of the tee is paramount.
