Look, no offense (I don't know you so I'm not presuming to understand your situation), but I get really tired of seeing this shite from people who haven't ever experienced depression or suicidal thoughts. It's not just that easy. Sometimes you talk to people and they don't care or don't take you seriously.

That said, sorry for your loss.

I don't struggle with depression, but I just can't help but think someone could have possibly given him a ray of hope that could have saved him from this.

I've a friend who attempted to take his life a few years ago. Thankfully he's better now, but we've spoken about it some, and he said as soon as he tried, he immediately regretted it and wanted to live. I thank God everyday he made it.

I don't fully understand depression or what would cause someone to want to hurt himself, but I understand that life is precious, and sometimes even a small gesture of kindness or compassion could save a life.

I've seen it first hand. A person can be in it so deep that they convince themselves that nobody cares if they are dead. Sometimes just showing someone that you give a frick is enough.
