Stewed tomato sauce ragu with pappardelle or egg noddles. Maybe add some mushrooms to the sauce too.

Bottle of Chianti or other rich Italian red.

Could make ahead of time and freeze in the sauce if desired, but would leave out the shrooms if freezing.
