yes rolling the ball to first base is not teaching the game. All you need to focus on at tball level is getting their skill levels improved which is including the art of throwing the ball. That is essentially your whole job out there. And believe me, kids don't roll any better than what they throw at that age.

has nothing to do with a tball coach doing the kids any favors by having the roll balls around the field like a bunch of pussies and the biggest pussy on the field would be the coach telling them to do so acting like the tball "out" was even that important.

I agree that you should throw it. But there are exceptions, occasionally there is a team put together that has absolutely no one that can safely field a thrown ball. I saw a kid get his two front teeth knocked out on a throw.

Kids have to be safe. The ball they play with is a training ball, but it packs a punch still.
