Yeah, concentrate on fundamentals. Towards the end of the season, if things are going well, work on cut offs and backing one another up.

I wouldn’t care too much about Ws and Ls and would concentrate on sending your kids to the next league with some core competencies. If they leave your team being able to run the bases, throw a ball to you, field grounders, and hit a soft toss, you are a rockstar. You will have a few that can actually play catch with one another. They are the exception, not the rule.

Correct, and I have found that if you invest a little energy with the kids you see alot of them flourish and keep playing baseball for a long time.
