What model and shaft length? I may want to trade as aim looking for a longer shaft (that’s what she said!!)

its the 50" shaft sw82hb 24vt motorguide the white salt water version with corrosion anode on the shaft, but its the hand control bow mounted one not the foot control one

i was looking around at the new ones and those are all 50" or 60" shafts so maybe i do have what they call the short shaft.

even if i bought a new one it looks like i would need to cut the shaft down. the only ones with shafts shorter then 50" are all transom mount motors.

i guess i could buy one of those if it fits into my bow mount but then who would buy my motor without the mount for it?

just FYI you can buy the 60" shaft to swap yours out for just $85. obviously you will need to extend your wires but that is very easy to do.

if you have the sw82 then this should be what you need LINK
