I don't give a hoot about who's ranked where. 9-4 is 9-4 dummy.

Well that's you smart guy.

Personally, I think it sucks to take a team from being ranked #6 going into the sixth game of the season to unranked after the 8th game is quite an accomplishment.

Where was Houston ranked preseason? I don't remember and they obviously peaked early and got over ranked.

Both Herman and O were gambles to hire and I understand some of your points on Herman. IMO, I preferred him because he showed he can develop a quarterback and an offensive system. I know you're gonna bring up SMU. I would have taken a chance on that guy over a guy who has already failed and hadn't gone to small school and show anything the way Herman did. That's just me though.

It really doesn't matter now though except to all of us dumbasses debating it on a message board.

Eta: We can agree on one thing when it comes to Herman. The kissing thing is fricking stupid.

If I was a Houston fan or a Tom Herman fan, I suppose I would think that sucks as well. But since I'm not a Houston/Herman fan, I don't give a frick about that.

But I do personally think it sucks to fire a coach in September, have more then half a season left to find the coach that you want, and then settle for your d-line coach to replace the man who had won 114 games in just over 11 years. I also think it sucks to have that d-line coach claim that he's going to hire only the very best coordinators, get out of their way and let them coach, and then less than a month into the season, get in their way and cause friction amongst some of the coaches that lasted throughout the season, according to some reports.

I also think it sucks to hire Canada as the OC, the only Broyles award finalist on the offensive side of the ball during the 2016 season (something you bragged about for months on end) and then run the guy off after only one year without giving him and his system a chance to show what they could do. yet we hear it time after time from some of you folks about "give o a chance", that's comical Ree.

I also thinks it sucks to go the entire month of September last year looking like shite, and enduring two historic losses. It also sucks to go only go 9-4 during a season where the SEC was as bad as it's been for years.

But that's just me, smart guy.

how would you feel if a coach took a team that was ranked 6th in talent by people that get paid to evaluate talent and then have a historic loss to a perennial sec doormat and then that coach gets manhandled at homecoming by a team with zero players with a nfl draft grade?

the talent gap between troy and lsu is infinitely bigger than any loss herman has had in his career.
