When a pitcher has to ask for a dry ball 5 pitches in s row then eventually a batters going to take one on the head. Just not safe for either team.

I will agree.

Torina may have tore this team down instead of boosting them up. She’s to rigid.

Whatever she is, it has worked for 6 years.

Dobson I think has given up on the girls. I think his temperament is real short lately.

I doubt he has given up. There is almost half a season left.

Team need to have fun to win and not stress over the little things.

Normally I would agree, but the team I watched for 4 innings didn't earn the right to have fun because there were about 8 "little things" that they totally screwed up on last night. There is a fine balance between being too hard on a team and killing their confidence and being too soft on a team and letting things slide. The 4 innings they played last night merit a strong, swift foot up the arse and any player who doesn't like it can sit on the bench and let someone else play. I don't think I have seen LSU play a worse game than they played for 4 innings last night since Torina has been here. The mental lapses in the first 2 innings were multiple and inexcusable. Not covering 1st base in an obvious sacrifice situation? Not having your senior pitcher cover home plate on a popup by the dugout? Not having your 3rd baseman touch 3rd base and get an inning ending force play and instead launch a throw to first base half way to Paducah? Certain posters love to tear down Sanchez, but before that play, she had only committed 3 errors all year and has made some great plays....but it was obvious the entire team was in a mental funk yesterday.

I don't think the answer to this past weekend is to sit in a circle, hold hands, sing camp songs, and tell the players how much you love them ,then have a dance party on the infield. The answer is to have a gathering and tell them that if they play like they did this weekend, then OKC is a pipe dream and they need to focus on every detail.

This team has plenty of talent and will come around. They always do. 2years ago they were swept in a 3 game series at home by....wait for it....Kentucky. LSU scored 0 runs alll weekend and left about 128 runners on base. Then, LSU went to Starkville and lost 7-2 to a very bad Miss. State team in a game that was similar to last night. What happened next? LSU went on an 11 game win streak and eventually went to OKC. Every team has a funk during a long season. No need to panic after this past weekend, but there is a need to get some players to shore up their business.

I don't think Dobson quit on them. I think, after Kentucky put up 4 runs, the players quit on themselves knowing they had no chance to score more than 4 runs and leave with a win. Theie actions in the dugout, the laughing and clapping, were sickening.
