Skip Franklins and go to Louie Muellars in Taylor, Texas where Aaron Franklin learned to cook BBQ. Just north of Round Rock. You will be back on 6th Street on your second beer before you finish at Franklins.

On my recent trip to Austin everyone told me to not waste my time going to Franklin's. At noon I said screw it and went. Waited in line for 45 minutes and then had the best brisket I have ever had in my life. Glad I didnt listen to everyone else
