Crticizing the free press is not the same thing as attacking the free press. That’s the key feature that such a large percentage of my generation seem to not get.

It’s probably not entirely our fault given that so many of us were raised in this sheltered upbringing that equated words to violence. But it’s also not particularly responsible for so many of us to have not grown up beyond this fairy tail we were told as kids.

Crticism is not an attack. We all need to be criticized in order to grow.

Sneaking surveilance malware into a journalist’s computer in order to monitor and impeed their progress on a developing story critical of the government, now that is an attack on the free press (cough Sheryl Attkinson cough)

The Obama administration actively spied on journalists. They weaponized the IRS against political opponents and spied on journalists like James Rosen.

Now his party has been hijacked by progressive totalitarians that abhor freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom to own a firearm.
