Yep. You're right. The whole point of my post was to criticize Carlson for preparing for his show.
Not that he picks the topic and doesn't tell the guest what the specific topic is, or that he talks over all his guests, or that he changes the topic midstream if things start going bad for him.

That’s not how I remember it. But then again a lot of people think the 2016 Presidential debates went for both candidates, so it really depends on what side you really wanted to win, in some cases.
However, I think most would agree Romney crushed Obama in the first 2 debates. Then Romney dropped his guard in the 3rd and Obama went for the jugular. 2-1, but the last one had the lasting impression.
