I agree - Teo played great for the most part.

also based on replies in this thread - is Teo the new Ingram? plays well and still gets talked down about?

I think its ok to be skeptical of Teo as a starter in the NFL.
I think most just want to see more plays as a starter from him in a Saints uni before getting behind him.

Teo graded out at 78.8 per PFF, which they deem average.

Klein graded out at 36.8, which they define as poor.

Ideally we have a stud supplant both and they become situational LBs

I keep hearing people talking about our LB corps as a position of need, but IMO Robertson, Klein, Te'o, and Anzalone are all quality starters.

That's reaching a little imo. I thought they were all average at best last year. Klein and Te'o were both a huge liability in pass coverage, Anzalone was inexperienced, & Robertson doesn't excel at anything (he is at least average at everything though & gives you solid all around play). Anzalone has a chance to be much better this year though...if he can just stay healthy.

As far as Te'o goes...he's great at stopping the run around the LOS. He makes a lot of plays in the backfield & locks down his area against the run. His weaknesses are pass coverage & tracking down a RB in space (we can mask this problem if we have legit run support around him).

Overall, I think he's a good player as long as he's surrounded by good players. He needs to have a good D-Line in front of him, & he also needs good outside run support from the Strong Safety/OLB's. His pass coverage is hard to mask imo, & he will probably get worked in man coverage most of the time.

This would be my preference...
WLB - Anzalone/Robertson
MLB - Vet F.A. or high draft pick/Te'o/Robertson
SLB - Klein/Robertson

I know some people will disagree, but I think Klein will have a much better year in 2018 than he did last year. Our speed/pass coverage at the LB position was our weakness last year. Our new addition needs to excel in these 2 areas, Anzalone has all the tools to fill these needs, & Klein is the probable leader of the defense.

Regardless of your opinion on who our starters should be...I think we can all agree that having Klein & Te'o on the field (at the same time) during pass plays is asking for it.
