Do you think he’ll start right away?
I do think WW craves a player with that mentality after going through this year with maybe too many good kids that don't have that kind of edge.
I used to not accept the, "well our kids played hard" line, cause...dammit, they are supposed to play hard. Man I would have given my right nut to play college basketball, I just never could understand that.
But today's kids are just different. Playing hard is not a given and fewer and fewer coaches are able to coax that out of them consistently. So when you get a kid like this who just instinctively has this mentality already, put him out there he's two steps ahead of many of his peers already.

I agree guys like Emmitt may not be as flashy as some but they’re the guys that create a winning attitude and are the heart of a team. Regardless if he starts or not he will see plenty of minutes and be a big part of shaping our season. My only pause on saying he will 100% is that I’ve heard the way a few of our coaches talk about Naz and it seems like they just love the kid. Not knocking him at all I think Naz will be great too I’m just saying that from what I’ve heard it sounds like he’s a lock at one spot. Of course he will have to earn it and I don’t think Wade is just going to give out a starting position. The other post position battle would be between Emmitt and Bigby-Williams, and I think Williams will win that 5 spot simply because of his size and ability to protect the rim, not necessarily because he’s a better player. How do you see it playing out?
