I think you must have missed the part where Jesus said this:
Matthew 5:17
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
And also the part where this happened:
Matthew 27:51
"At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom..."
This signified the end of the Mosaic law for the Jews.
Old covenant...over.
New covenant...enacted.
