Baby Moses law. In Texas you can drop a baby off at any hospital, child welfare agency, any EMS provider, such as a fire department, and no questions asked as long as it shows no sign of abuse. Or they may ask if it has any helath problems. It's pretty sad but I feel the alternative is much worse.
The problem is that it is rarely used and there are countless cases of death from neglect or abandonment from shitty people.
