I had a 1TB Seagate drive that lasted about 8 years.
when it crashed, i got one of those small USB Seagate drive, 2TB, and it's lasted 3 years still kicking.
Bought a 4TB Seagate and it's been doing just fine for 2 years. and then i just bought a 8TB Seagate.
All i have on it is movies and pictures and using it for plex. The 8TB has everything on it, the 4TB one has the movies backed up, the 2TB has the pictures backed up. in a year i'll buy another 8TB to have 3 backups.
It's cheaper to keep buying hardrives than pay for a cloud with that much storage.
What are people doing where they aren't getting 2 years out of their hard drives?
