Carter didn't install the Shah in a CIA coup. Carter didn't give Pahlavi cancer.
Cater didn't turn Pahlavi over to the radical Muslims who wanted to kill him.

Curiously there were two major periods of high inflation in the 70s, 1974-75, and 1979-80, both coincide with major disruptions in crude oil.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say he was great, but that he's not the monster everyone says, and wasn't near as bad as Nixon - or LBJ. One thing is, and young people today will find it hard to believe, but the media hated him.
