I’ve had my temurpedic 9 Years with no signs of wearing out. If you were sleeping on your arm and causing peripheral nerve palsy it shouldn’t last for hours. Sounds like your neck is the culprit. Pinching nerves can creep up on you, may actually just be your pillow wearing out as that’s more likely that the matttess being your problem. I see this sort of problem all the time.
