I think you have the "right" confused with the Democrats that actually did every single racist thing you accuse the "right" of doing today. Re-writing history is a very important part of the Leftist tactic.
It is imperative that the Left try to make people forget that they are the party of Slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, internment, poll taxes and women's suffrage.

Paradoxically, perhaps.
There are studies where they measure the rate of technological progress and how long it takes to double progress. For instance, they would say the technology available in the 191x years was doubled by the year 1950. The technology in 1950 was doubled by 1975, etc.
That rate has absolutely skyrocketed...to the point that we're doubling our technological abilities every couple of years! It's insane the rate we're progressing.
The caveat to that is what you mentioned....as technology makes like simpler, will the typical human regress? It's definitely a genuine concern but technology won't stop moving regardless.
