Yes, around 30k. We don't pay them shite here. It's pretty sad. I graduated with two ladies who are school teachers in my immediate area, and was friends with three more in the area during my school days. They are all (or were) married to guys with secure oil jobs. If not for that, they could literally not continue to be teachers.
They can make more in Oklahoma as a department manager at Wal-Mart. It's been a sad state of affairs for teachers here since I was still in high school in the 90s.

My sister-in-law, a public school teacher for over 20 yrs, finally left OK last year. She is getting paid much better here in TN.
