love that show. most dire situation i saw was a dive group that went swimming off the coast of thailand, and their guide left them out their unknowingly. after 48 hours or so of treading water, jellyfish, and sharks, the swimmers finally saw land and made it to shore.

only problem was the island they made it to was full of komodo dragons and about half an hour after making it to the beach they were grabbing anything they could find to fight off the lizards.

I saw that Open Water sort of episode.

Some guy just pops up from scuba and his boat is like a mile away...

And he spends 5 days in the water.

But the craziest is the guy that says: "I'm going to just hike 15 minutes up this trail to see more Mayan ruins."

And he's in a resort Mexican town - and then is stranded in the jungle for 2 weeks.

That episode is...the ultimate...go off the beaten path maxim. He's like 10 miles from the beach and Margaritas and he's dying to find fresh water and food. Jungle swallows you. That would be the worst experience because not only would it be the scariest experience, it would be the most annoying experience. How did this happen? Why can't I get out?

Sounds like a horror movie.
