There were 0 cases of cow to human infection until it first happened in 1996. Cows can have a prion disease called BSE(Mad Cow)just like CWD in deer. Now it is well known that you can get a human form of BSE called vCJD from eating nerve tissue of cattle with BSE. What happens if you shoot CWD deer in the backbone and blow spinal fluid all on over the meat then eat it. Maybe nothing but I would rather not find out.
