What he is doing is inventing a strawman. It is good to know that the US has been so vulnerable until this tariff proposal though. To think... China was poised to take DC ANY DAY!

It's pretty ridiculous to suggest that we need an arbitrary 25% tariff on all steel imports (including all of our allies!) because national security.
If we really were in the middle of WW3, we'd probably have to remove the tariff so that Canada could help us meet production.
