There is rarely a season LSU doesn't lose a midweek game to a smaller school. Combine it with the pitching staff currently and it's bound to happen again. Doesn't mean the season won't be a success.

Very true and it's also true for just about every major baseball power. Baseball is a funny game. Regardless, this is the time of year that coaches, including PM, tinker and experiment. Add to that the number of excellent position players who are out of the lineup and no one should surprised.
Of course, none of this matters to members of the Rant, who regularly show their ignorance, flawed logic and have child like temper tantrums.

I will happy to see how this year's teams develop over the course of 56 games. I do not expect a trip to Omaha unless our pitching can be improved but I trust Mainieri and Dunn to develop these young men and perhaps the next two seasons will be our chance to make another Omaha run.
