Yes. On the other hand, it's huge and will eventually have to be demolished or re-purposed anyway. Indoor malls are a thing of the past. That's a visible piece of property at the intersection of two large highways. It's pretty easy to get to.

That's probably the one site large enough that wouldn't piss everyone off. It is also likely the most expensive to obtain and prep for zoo construction.

The owner bought it for six mill and two years later he's trying to unload it for four mill. Would he donate the land, take the write off and let BREC have it cheap?

But BREC is going to have a hard time passing a 200 million dollar tax, and I'm guessing at the size. The zoo is 150 million by itself and then you have the other projects that the Supt. wants; DeSotto Park, City Park/University lakes, rebuilding Greenwood, a SE regional park, new sports academy,etc.?
