Most jobs are this way in all states. Very few really benefit from a college degree. I have 2 degrees and can't think of a single thing that I learned in college that I apply at work. You learn almost everything by doing the job.

Yep. I've got an undergrad and masters, outside of piquing my interest in a few subjects has had little to do with any occupation.
College should be about learning though, and not some cookie cutter job requirement. I see an end to college as we know it, and college classes will be online a la carte for professional enhancement and personal knowledge.
